About

Strategic, the operational lead for complex organisations

Strategic S.r.l. is a company based in the Republic of San Marino that helps established companies, groups and institutions use artificial intelligence in everyday work, starting with the Company Brain, the company’s own searchable memory. It also helps them protect what matters: systems, data, finances, reputation and people. You deal with one point of contact, and the right skills come together around the same problem.

Artificial intelligence and the Company Brain sit at the centre, with the division codes, the organisations Strategic works for and the three verbs of the method, which are anticipate, protect and act.

Who we are, in a few words

Strategic is a consulting and software development company based in the Republic of San Marino. We work for organisations where decisions pass through several people: medium-sized and large companies, groups and institutions.

At the heart of our work is artificial intelligence brought inside the company. We don’t mean the demo that impresses in a meeting. We mean the system people use every day, with the right data, clear rules and someone accountable for it. Many projects start from the Company Brain, which lets you ask a question of everything the organisation knows.

Around this core, the divisions you need come in when AI touches systems and decisions: cybersecurity, databases, restructuring, communication, foreign markets and people. There is also Blackroom, for owners’ confidential matters, and Strategic Labs, which develops software.

How we work: anticipate, protect, act

We apply three verbs, in this order, to every piece of work, whether it is an artificial intelligence project, a database migration or a difficult moment for the company.

Panel 1, Anticipate. Amid the background noise, the first signals grow before the event, and that is where the time to decide lies.

Anticipate

Look before you move. What happens if a system stops, if someone leaves, if a customer asks for assurances you cannot give today? The answers are sought while there is time, not in the middle of an emergency.

Panel 2, Protect. Concentric layers around data and continuity.

Protect

Secure whatever would bring the company to a halt if it gave way: access, data backups, supplier contracts, the knowledge held in key roles. In an AI project, this means deciding beforehand who can ask what, and keeping a record of the answers.

Panel 3, Act. The path from alert to containment, decision, recovery and review of the plan.

Act

Proceed in phases, with results you can check at every step. And when something goes wrong, follow a plan that has already been discussed instead of improvising.

How we start, and what you keep

Every piece of work starts from a written proposal that sets out activities, timing, people involved, what is included and excluded, and the cost. We do not publish prices, because the scope changes from one organisation to another.

01 Scoping conversation We clarify the problem and the scope. You come away with a clear recommendation on whether to proceed, and how.
02 Initial assessment We analyse one specific area, such as a process, a system or a risk. You keep a technical report and a summary for management, with the priorities.
03 Project We build it, whether it is an AI system, an integration, a migration or a plan. You keep the result, the documentation and the handover.
04 Managed service We keep what has been built running, with support times and conditions written into the contract.
05 Training programme We prepare the people who decide on, manage or use the tools. You keep a record of the activities completed.
06 Confidential mandate We support the owners through a sensitive decision, under a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).

When needed, we also work at your premises.

Why San Marino

Updated 16 September 2026

Strategic is a San Marino company. For an Italian organisation, this means working with a partner that borders Emilia-Romagna and Marche, speaks the same language and uses the same currency.

  • The currency. The euro is San Marino’s official currency, under the 2012 monetary agreement with the European Union.
  • Personal data. In San Marino, data protection is governed by Law No. 171 of 21 December 2018. For Italian organisations the GDPR applies. In every project we set out in writing where the data is held and who processes it.
  • European rules. San Marino is not part of the European Union. However, NIS2 and the AI Act affect many of the Italian organisations we work with, and we help them meet the requirements. For businesses in San Marino the framework must be assessed case by case.
  • Relations with the European Union. On 16 July 2026 the Council of the European Union authorised the signature and provisional application of the association agreement with Andorra and San Marino, which provides for both countries to take part in the internal market. As of 16 September 2026 the agreement has not yet been signed. After signature come the European Parliament’s approval and formal conclusion. San Marino and the European Union, for businesses
  • Invoices and taxes. For an Italian company, buying from a San Marino company is a normal cross-border transaction. The e-invoice goes through the Italian exchange system (Sistema di Interscambio), and VAT is accounted for in Italy under the rules for services bought from abroad. Your accountant knows the procedure.

Why we don’t publish client names

On this site you will not find client logos, named case studies or descriptions of clients’ systems. That is a choice. Someone who calls us about a cyber incident, a cash crisis or a dispute between shareholders does not want to be mentioned, not even once the work is finished.

The examples on these pages are typical scenarios, and they say so. A real case appears only with the written consent of the people who went through it, and in anonymous form.

During negotiations we can talk about similar work, without names and without details that would allow a client to be recognised.

How we use artificial intelligence

A company that brings artificial intelligence into businesses must say how it uses it. On our website and on WhatsApp, the assistants introduce themselves as AI. No person in our images is AI-generated. Decisions about clients, candidates and projects are made by people.

The details, from the chat to the articles, are on a dedicated page.

Frequently asked questions about Strategic

What is Strategic?
Strategic S.r.l. is a company based in the Republic of San Marino that works for established companies, groups and institutions in San Marino and Italy. At the core of its work is artificial intelligence built into business systems, starting with the Company Brain. Alongside it work the divisions for cybersecurity, Oracle databases, restructuring, communication and intelligence, international expansion and critical roles, together with Blackroom confidential advisory and the software of Strategic Labs.
Where is Strategic based?
In the Republic of San Marino. The registered office is shown in the company details on this page. We work with organisations in San Marino and Italy, remotely and, when needed, on site.
What kind of organisations does Strategic work with?
Mainly established organisations such as medium-sized and large companies, groups and institutions, where decisions involve several functions, for example management, IT, finance and legal. A smaller business can also write to us when the work involves systems integration, security or a sensitive phase for the company.
Who works on the projects?
Projects draw on software development, databases, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and management consulting. We do not publish an organisation chart. The people who will handle the work are named in the written proposal, together with the single point of contact for your organisation.
How are Strategic, DIREKTA, Kristina Reply and Autochatter related?
DIREKTA and Autochatter are Strategic Labs tools. Kristina Reply is distributed by Strategic. When one of these tools is among the options for a project, we say so and compare it with the alternatives. When we give a second opinion on AI projects and vendors, we do not propose our own products.
How do you start working with Strategic?
Through the contact form, stating the area, the situation and the size of your organisation. We reply within two working days and, if there is work to set up, we suggest a scoping conversation. That leads to a written proposal with activities, timing and costs.
Why the motto ‘Before it happens’?
Because problems cost less when you see them coming. Strategic’s method starts from here. We anticipate what may happen, protect what matters, and act on a plan already discussed when the time comes.
